New legal provisions regarding the design of technological equipment

The achievement of investments as a whole and also those concerning the wood industry have already an official frame settled by the Ministry of Public Works and Territory Planning (MLPAT) with regard to the insurance of a quality system for buildings and afferent installations aiming to the design control and expert survey of projects and their implementation.

Concerning the quality of erection works for industrial machinery, equipment and technological installations it was not established to now an institutional frame which shall provide a guarantee that said works could not cause in any kind a damage for both personnel and material values due to some risk factors such as: fire, explosion, environmental conditions, e.g.

On the other hand, a good performance of the investment as a whole is productive aiming to the main scope of achieving good qualty products.


The legislator, observing that in the last period some projects are carried out unprofessional and the equipment and technological equipment are set up without a design that could bring about important faults and even disasters, has settled down through the Ministry of Industry and Trade (MIC) a proper legislative frame by issuing the Government Order no.95/1999 for the approval of methodological regulation concerning the control of erection works for machinery, equipment and process plants (Official Monitor no.628/23.12.1999) asking at the same time the National Institutions to certify the compliance.


As a consequence, until the establishing and operating of acredited organisations, the National Institute of Wood has been appointed with the carrying out of necessary control for both state and private companies.

To be able to draw-up suitable documentations which have to be successful controled and implemented the National Institute of Wood is entirely at your service with the engineering in all the stages of drawing up the feasibility studies, technical projects, execution details, technical assistance for erection and start-up.

In case of projects in cooperation with other design it should be necessary to ask in due time the National Institute of Wood to perform the controls requested by law.
